# #4: Systems that keep us honest

> Published 2026-07-22 · Canonical: https://goodglyph.com/en/blog/studio-journal-4

One month after launch. The blog grew from articles into clusters, we read the new medical advertising rules straight from the Official Gazette, and we turned our own quality tools on our own writing.

In the last edition we said the work was changing: the site is live, so we're no longer building it, we're running it. A month later we can say what that looks like in practice. It was the month when almost everything we did had the same shape: systems that force us to work the way we tell clients the work should be done. Some of them write, some of them check, some of them show us every morning what's actually happening. And a few of them corrected us.

## The blog grew from articles into clusters

Since the last edition we've published over ten new articles, but the number says less than the structure. We closed two themes end to end: one about SEO, from the beginner's guide through what it costs and how to choose a serious provider, and one about apps, from what kind of app you actually need to the moment Excel stops keeping up. The articles inside a theme link to each other and lead, naturally, to the right service. The blog also has two new categories, Growth and Product, so these themes have a home. The logic is simple: a single article answers a question; a cluster answers an entire buying decision.

## We read the rules at the source

The most valuable piece of research this month wasn't about design, it was about rules. Since July 1, 2025, dentistry in Romania has a new advertising guide, with explicitly named prohibitions, from superlatives to commercial vocabulary. We read it straight from the Official Gazette and the College's own site, not from other people's summaries, and turned it into a reference article that clinic owners can actually use. For us this isn't an exotic topic: we work with clients in the medical space, where an ad written "like in other industries" can bring sanctions, and the materials we deliver have to respect the rules by construction, not get corrected afterwards.

## We turned our tools on our own writing

This was also the month we gathered the studio's writing rules and tools into one place, from each project's voice down to a small program that measures the signs of careless writing: sentences all the same length, inflated phrasing, a shortage of concrete examples. Then we did what was honestly inevitable: we pointed them at ourselves. We went through everything we have published, in both languages, and found roughly fifty small things to fix, from grammatical agreement slips in Romanian to sentences that explained a second time what they had just said. We fixed all of them, directly in the live articles. Nothing dramatic, but that's exactly the point: the discipline we apply to client materials has to hold up when the text is ours.

## The morning starts with the data

The site's health is no longer checked "now and then." We built ourselves a daily routine: every morning, a short report shows which searches are starting to climb, which pages get seen but not clicked, and where there's demand we haven't written for yet. The first articles have started moving up in results, and several decisions this month, including which articles we wrote and which titles we rewrote, came straight out of those reports rather than out of instinct. It's the difference between hoping it works and knowing what to do tomorrow morning.

## On the client side

New client projects came in along the way, and they remain, as usual, the part of the work we talk about least in public and work on most. In the background we're still preparing the productized brand kit we've mentioned before: the option for businesses that have outgrown the improvised logo but for whom a full custom project is, for now, too much. When it's ready, you'll hear it here first.

## What's next

We keep extending the clusters we started, keep the blog cadence, and let the morning routine tell us where the effort is worth it. Edition #5 comes when we have the next piece of the story. Until then, if you want to watch a studio apply to itself the same rules it sells, you're in the right place. You can also find us on LinkedIn.
